Aniek Janssen receives the ERC Consolidator grant

We are very proud of CMM group leader Aniek Janssen for receiving a prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant! 👏

This grant will allow Aniek and her team to explore how DNA damage is repaired in the tightly packed regions of our DNA (heterochromatin) using the fruit fly Drosophila as a model organism. This important research has the potential to uncover fundamental mechanisms that safeguard genome stability. We are very proud of Aniek and excited to see the discoveries ahead!
