UMC Embryolab vmbo
The traveling DNA lab, which has been organized by CMM for 15 years, is now also available for pre-vocational secondary school students. This allows young people at all levels of education to become acquainted with science. With the traveling 'Embryolab', students of the Biomedical Sciences program visit VMBO classes all over the country. There they discuss the possibilities in the field of embryo research and the modification of embryonic DNA. “With the Embryolab we want to promote the dialogue about science in society, because scientists-to-be and young people can talk to each other and learn from each other,” explains coordinator Anne-Wil Marissen. The Embryolab is a follow-up to the successful DNA lab 'The language of the tumor', in which more than 85,000 students have already participated.
